Scalo Farini Masterplan

As from the motto of the project, “Connecting Farini back to Milano”, it can be understood how the site is an integral part of the city of Milano. The project attempts to connect this void in the city through a spine and its s mall branches to create an urban regeneration proposal. Considering the Historic Dogona gate the Ecological corridor of a spine starts to revieve the void in the city. The project makes a strong statement with the new seasonal water canals proposed, which aim to bring the nostalgia of the Naviglis of the city and allow people to access it with public parks in the form of therapeutic gardens, hobby gardens, etc.

The water to these canals is a network of stormwater connections which will be irrigated to the gardens we propose and to public infrastructure and maintenance of the proposed urban tissue. Through these various strategies, the project attempts to showcase a connection in terms of physical means and an abstract notion of connecting back to the city. New additions will always make a strong impact on the neighbourhood, and the Eco- Spine aims to create an amalgamation of them.
